A scenario followed by 8 questions that require students to apply their knowledge of year 12 research methods. The second page of the document has the answers which could be shared with students after completing the task for them to self assess. Good revision task- would give the students 20 minutes to complete. Made for AQA but could be used with any exam board.

3 double sided sheets that should be printed to A3. One for each disorder: Phobias OCD Depression Each sheet has space for characteristics, explanations and treatments. Parts have been filled in, with space for the students to complete the rest. Each sheet would take at least an hour, and students could complete from memory or use a textbook if needed. Good for a revision task, or for independent study.

A double sided A3 sheet which covers all the relationships theories. Each area of the specification is in different colours to help students group them together. I’ve included key terms to help guide student note taking. You could use it in a one hour lesson- students could fill in as much as they can from memory and then use notes/ textbook to complete the rest.

Print this on A3 paper- students can use their notes/ textbook to complete the first side as revision on the theories, and then there are 3 x 9 mark questions for students to plan (taken from past papers). They could write up one of the 9 mark answers too. This could be used in a double lesson.

AQA Psychology- Addiction- Prochaska's Model of Behaviour Change

(0)
Full lesson on Prochaska’s model of behaviour change. Includes a Powerpoint and handout for students to annotate and complete. There are application tasks for students to complete which will allow them to check their understanding of the topic as well as two exam questions. The mark scheme for these is in the powerpoint. I would do this over a double lesson (2 hours) with lots of cold calling and mini whiteboard use to check and consolidate learning. I’ve included a 16m question that students could plan and write- either in the lesson if you have time, or you could set for homework.

This is a whole lesson, including PPT and activities. It has the DO NOW (starter) task, EXIT TICKET (plenary) as well as a CHALLENGE task that is an extension activity. I have used this with a mixed ability class that includes students who are EAL and SEND.

Obedience to authority- application of learning

This lesson follows the lesson after students have learnt about Milgram- and reasons for obedience. I used this lesson to consolidate learning about the reasons why people obey- and students can become defense attorneys for the Nazi soldiers. There are 2 versions of the document- one is a differentiated version for LAPs (low ability pupils). Enlarge them on to A3 paper.

AQA Sociology AS- Learning sociologists grid- A3 sheet

I give this to AS students when revising for the exam- I recommend that they learn the names of 25 sociologists that they can refer to in the exam. So this becomes a crib sheet that they make their notes on and use to test themselves and each other.

Students work independently to see how much of the sheets they can complete, if they get stuck, they use their notes/ textbook to complete. There are exam questions included as well for students to practice after completing the revision sheets. All aspects of the A3 sheets are based on the exam specification. It would take students 2 lessons to complete (50 min lessons).
