For first year A level students. (25- ish mins) Requires the use of geogebra.org, or some other graph plotting software. Instead of explaining at the start how the equation of a circle works, The idea is for students to “discover” how it works. Students work in pairs/small groups using software to plot the examples given and identifying which category each equation falls into on the Venn diagram. Answers are also provided on the powerpoint and I have included a fun plenary question that i like to use at the end of circle equation lessons.
