GERMAN GCSE A LEVEL VERBS REVISION: 500 German verbs reference book, alphabetical German-English - we use this as a year-round reference resource, and my students find it particularly useful for exam revision, whether working in class time or at home.
I actually use these kinds of reference books throughout my German programmes, not only as we approach exam time - they’re a really valuable and comprehensive reference resource for students, and I also use them for quick vocab quizzes at frequent and regular intervals - simply shout out the German or English verb, the first team to shout out the correct answer wins a point - it’s a great vocab quiz for vocab recall practice and revision.
The topics/themes covered by these verbs address all UK examination boards, and are a great guide for intermediate into advanced German in general.
We use the Notes and Next Steps template to think about progress and recall - students find this really useful, and do like to map and track their own progress.
I’ve uploaded a range of German verbs reference book formats - I give different format to students at various points of their learning programme - some students prefer to have either shorter or longer reference books, and some definitely like to have them all! My students also really benefit from the written recall challenges workbooks that I prepare for them - they’re popular all year-round, and we use them between school years during vacation time too, to keep memories fresh.
This is a 22-page reference booklet - I’ve found the most user-friendly format is to photocopy double-sided, with two staples down the left-hand side.
