New AQA GCSE RE - Theme E - Religion, Crime and Punishment - Aims of punishment in action
Based on the new AQA GCSE RE specification, this is lesson 6 in theme E which will support learning on the concept of analysing the aims of punishment in action. Students will be supported in their progress by:
Students will summarise learning from the previous three topics with some one mark questions and will write down the answers in your exercise books
Students will use two development tasks to check our learning on two of the aims of punishment and will describe the restorative justice system and will explain whether they think the Ready to Learn system is a better deterrent to poor behaviour than the old Time Out system
Students will review corporal punishment as a aim of punishment and will complete some learning review tasks
Students will review their learning on the aims of punishments and will explain which of the aims of punishments they think are the most important and why
