Summer Pictures Twins Speaking Activity

This is a mixer activity that uses winter vocabulary, including 20 sets of twins. Each student gets a sheet with 5 pictures. Students mingle, speaking in the target language, trying to find their twin (the only other student with all 5 of the same pictures, but in a different order). This activity may be used on many different levels: identify the picture; describe the picture (adjective); “I like / dislike” the picture; change tenses; change verbs. Once twins find each other, they should find something that they really have in common that is related to both the grammar and the vocabulary of the activity. This activity has pictures only so may be used for any language; the only text is in English - “twin” and “in common”.
Pictures represent: swimming pool, beach, sand, pail, shovel, beach ball, bathing suit,
sandals, sunglasses, beach towel, suntan lotion, sandcastle, shell, surfboard, boat, lifeguard, sun, swimming, sun tanning, sunburn.
