Why Play Visualize It! ?
It is proven that if young readers practice visualizing scenes and images described through text, it will improve their ability to comprehend when reading independently. Visualizing contains two very important components. 1= descriptively written text (author) 2= mental image formation based upon written text (reader)

Visualizing can be a difficult skill for young readers. Providing students multiple opportunities to practice this skill can help them gain the confidence and experience necessary for transferring the skill when reading independently.

Understanding how writers are able to help readers “see” what is happening, will help strengthen students’ knowledge of visualization thus making visualizing more automatic.
