ITALIAN STARTER VOCABULARY (1) - CHRISTMAS EDITION - GAMES & ACTIVITIES

ITALIAN STARTER VOCABULARY (1) - CHRISTMAS EDITION - GAMES & ACTIVITIES

Have some CHRISTMAS FUN with this set of ITALIAN STARTER VOCABULARY GAMES AND ACTIVITIES! It features 99 words and phrases to keep your students joyful as they practise and perfect their ITALIAN vocabulary at CHRISTMAS! The games and activities help to create a lively language learning environment, where students can work happily together, with both teacher-led and independent learning activities. I've classed the resource as suitable for ages 7-14, but it really does depend on the age at which your students begin their ITALIAN learning. They definitely take a bit of prep – printing and laminating. Laminating is certainly worth the effort and expense, as you will be able to re-use the cards for many CHRISTMAS lessons to come. They will also take up quite a bit of your colour printer ink – printing in black and white will work equally well, as students can easily identify the ITALIAN and ENGLISH cards from the different fonts used for each language. The whole-group practice and quick quiz activity is simply ready to go! The SET 1 SANTAS feature vocabulary in the following word groups: - I saluti - I giorni della settimana - I mesi dell'anno - Le quattro stagioni dell'anno - I numeri da zero a trentuno - I colori - Stati del Mondo The resource itself comprises 3 non-editable files in a zipped format: - game cards in both ITALIAN and English - whole-group practice activity and quick quiz - whole-group practice activity and quick quiz that you can load on to a tablet or similar device so that students can work independently, and is perfect for your home school too I've included a selection of preview images to give you an idea of what the resource looks like as a whole. MovieItaly: Italy in a Day

MovieItaly: Italy in a Day

Whether your students are preparing for the Advanced Placement, A Level, GCSE, International Baccalaureate, or any high level test to prove their language skills in Italian, MovieItaly is the series of study guides that will lead them to discover Italy's culture and lifestyle through cinema. Each movie has been carefully selected to entertain students, make them think and help them produce language with ease and motivation. All the activities can be used with peers, independently or with the teacher's guidance. They present a very simple Italian, to help students compare, contrast, think critically and then produce language confidently. The main production comes at the end of the guide, and it is preceeded by activities that gently bring students to build their opinions and their language step by step. You can use each activity as you please, and in the way that best meets your teaching needs. Each study guide completion will require about four classes, depending on how much time you can devote to the actual screening and how you want the students to work. It is advised to do the "Prima della visione" activity together, helping students to prepare themselves for the new topic and characters. Feel free to contact me to give me feedback about how you have been using the study guides: I'm always in for learning something new! Happy viewing!
