This resource includes a worksheet with a blank grid for students to create their own word search. All of the days and months are written on the sheet. When they’ve finished making it they can exchange with another student and solve each solve the puzzle made by their classmate. 3 ready-made word searches are included. You can choose which one to give your students as each one is of a different level of difficulty. I like to print the ready-made search that I want to use on one side of a paper, and print the make your own version on the other side. I have used this resource with 8 year old students as well as 14 year olds. Please note that due to the nature of the word search I have not included accents in this resource. The basic puzzle is suitable for grades 1 and 2. Words are hidden across and down only. The intermediate puzzle is suitable for grades 3 and 4. Words are hidden across, down and diagonally. This booklet contains activities on the topic of Me, my family and friends, from the AQA theme Identity and Culture. There are 6 subtopics: Introducing myself, family members, pets, physical appearance, personality and relationships. For each of these subtopics, there are 6 activities: a reading task, translation (short paragraph) from Spanish into English, sentences to translate from English into Spanish, a writing task (short passage similar to the foundation writing exam), a photo (like in the foundation writing exam) and a role-play. There are also 6 extension activities which bring together all of the subtopics: a longer reading task, a paragraph translation from English into Spanish, a 90-word task, a 150-word task and a photo card (like in the speaking exam). This booklet can be used in KS3 or for revision in KS4 (foundation). It can either be used to supplement work in lessons as you teach the topic of me, my family and friends, or for assessments. This game is designed to talk about feelings and emotions and some situations that might trigger them. It is a game of matching cards. There are two sets of card, one orange (questions) and one blue (answers). INSTRUCTIONS: The ideal number of students is 5, but the game can be played by 2 to 20 students. Hand out the answer cards evenly to the students. Keep the question cards and put them in a pile face down. Take a card and read the question out loud. The students who has the answer card reads it out loud and keeps the pair. The winner is the one who pairs all the cards first. After the students have played the game a few times, you can designate one of them to read the questions.

Students fill out a chart with saber and conocer (vosotros not included) and then have to complete 20 fill in the blanks with the correct form of either saber or conocer. The examples are straightforward and the sentences constructed of such grammar and vocabulary that the students should easily be able to recognize the meaning of the sentence and thereby be able to distinguish whether they should use saber or conocer. They then use the chart as reference to choose the correct form. Subject pronoun substitution is required for some of the questions.
