Spanish speaking cards AQA A-level New specifications (3)

Spanish speaking cards AQA A-level New specifications (3)

Due to the high demand and positive reviews from my previous resources, I have made a third part with different cards, topics, etc. I hope it is really useful. These speaking cards are aimed for year 12 and year 13 students, according to the new specifications. I have been carefully looking at the changes in the speaking test in A-levels and looking at the exam papers given by AQA. Due to the lack of any past exam papers, I have decided to create my own so that students have plenty of resources to be ready for the new exams.

Spanish Summer holiday activity sheet - great end of term activity

Spanish Summer holiday activity sheet - great end of term activity

Ideal for an end of term activity sheet on the topic of holidays - a wordsearch, a matching up, some colouring and a "find how many words you can make from "… It’s just a nice way to finish off the term with a fun activity but still learning/ consolidating the Spanish vocabulary and getting them ready for their holidays! I have edited the worksheet so it now says “Adoro las vacaciones” but it won’t change it on the preview

Spanish Conditional Tense, Interactive Grammar Videos

Spanish Conditional Tense, Interactive Grammar Videos

This is an ideal resource for setting as a home learning task, either to consolidate learning in class or for students to study independently either before or in class. Students can listen at their own speed to videos about how to conjugate Spanish verbs in the conditional tense (regular and irregular). The “multiplier effect” I mention means students can apply this knowledge to new verbs. There are verbal questions in each video to translate verbs from Spanish to English and vice versa so they can assess their understanding and you can ask them to write down their answers so you can see evidence of their work too. That way you will know how to support them if needed. It is ideal for KS3 classes that need to be challenged or GCSE classes. A-level classes can also use it to recap the key processes. If you visit my YouTube channel you will find other grammar videos for Spanish and French too.

KS3 Ultimate Spanish Crossword (A3 size)

KS3 Ultimate Spanish Crossword (A3 size)

PRINT CROSSWORD A3 SIZE AND IT PRINTS FINE - PHOTO INCLUDED TO SHOW LAYOUT ONCE PRINTED This crossword is the perfect end of year challenge for KS3 Spanish. The crossword is A3 size and includes 98 across words and 100 down words - which means it is HUGE! My Year 7’s did this recently and absolutely loved it! It’s a great way of rounding off the year and recapping everything done in Year 7. Of course, this crossword can be given to KS4 classes too as quick revision of basic vocabulary. This resource could be used in the classroom or could be set as homework to complete over the summer holidays. It took me a long time to make this, but I would say it’s been well worth it - my pupils have really enjoyed completing it!! :D

Spanish PRETERITE song lessons with METACOGNITION “¿Qué hice, yo?” (Taylor Swift - Shake it off)

A song written by yours truly to the tune of ‘Shake it off’ by Taylor Swift to learn preterite phrases and endings! This has been turned into a couple of lessons, focusing on metacognition in the context of learning content to music. The lesson starts with information on why we recall lyrics to songs from the BBC website. Students then fill in the gaps to the lyrics before seeing the complete version. Backing tracks have been included so you can sing in class! Slides containing pictures representing the lyrics to test their memory. Speaking activities where students roll a dice and answer preterite questions (could use phrases from the lyrics in their answers). Finally 6 online resources (Quizlets and quizzes) to consolidate the preterite (regular, irregular and reflexives). Please review this resource!
