GERMAN SEPARABLE VERBS REVISION

GERMAN SEPARABLE VERBS REVISION

PERFECT FOR DEVELOPING UNDERSTANDING OF HOW TO CONJUGATE REGULAR AND IRREGULAR SEPARABLE GERMAN VERBS IN THE PRESENT, PERFECT AND IMPERFECT TENSE! GERMAN VERB QUICK CONJUGATION WORKBOOKS are a great way of practicing, reinforcing and revising how to conjugate essential verbs in GERMAN. They work well in a range of contexts such as independent work either in class time or at home, holiday refresher work, or individual activities for cover work. Students really benefit from several opportunities to work through the workbook, once or twice a term across a whole school year is a great way of both mapping progress and developing overall understanding and competence. WORKBOOKS 1-3 feature 25 high-frequency irregular and regular separable verbs in the present, perfect and imperfect tense. I've chosen separable prefixes that students are likely to meet in the more introductory phase of working with separable verbs, such as AB, AN, AUS, EIN, UM and ZU. Each workbook is a 10-page learning booklet containing the following: * Two alphabetical verb reference lists: GERMAN-ENGLISH and ENGLISH-GERMAN. * Three conjugation challenges, each with 50 individual conjugations: CHALLENGE 1: each verb conjugated in GERMAN across a range of pronouns, with students writing the corresponding ENGLISH verb conjugation. CHALLENGE 2: gives the infinitive of each verb in GERMAN, specifying the target pronoun. Students write the corresponding verb conjugation in GERMAN. CHALLENGE 3: students write the corresponding GERMAN verb conjugation, and its infinitive, from an ENGLISH prompt. * NOTES & NEXT STEPS sheet, which encourages students to think about how their understanding of GERMAN conjugation works, what progress they have made, what their targets for improvement might realistically be, and what they might reasonably do in order to meet those targets. There is also a 6-page ANSWER KEY booklet per workbook which students find really useful, either to self- or peer-assess - this is also a great time saver for teachers, as well as a way of encouraging students to really assume more responsibility for, and independence in, their learning. This is a bundle of WORKBOOKS 1-3. It consists of nine non-editable files in a zipped format. The workbooks are also available separately, each priced at $4.00. German - conditional 'Zimmer 101' writing/ speaking

German - conditional 'Zimmer 101' writing/ speaking

I created this for my German class. It's a 'Room 101'-style worksheet. Over three tasks students practise their conditional tense using 'würden'. In the first section students are choosing between 3 options and give reasons why they chose and answer. In the second part they prepare their own 90 word answer, on what they would put into room 101 and why. They also have a support sheet and there is the option of extending the task to preparing a presentation and discussion. All instructions are given in German.

GERMAN HABEN UND SEIN WORD SEARCHES

GERMAN HABEN UND SEIN WORD SEARCHES

PERFECT FOR PRACTICING CONJUGATION OF HABEN AND SEIN AND DEVELOPING GERMAN LANGUAGE SKILLS - 10 DIFFERENTIATED WORD SEARCHES WITH ANSWER KEYS! WORTRÄTSEL are a fabulous way of encouraging learners to engage with the written word in GERMAN, refreshing and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. This set focuses on the key verbs HABEN and SEIN, and features ten differentiated word searches, with each consecutive grid increasing in challenge. There are 5 GERMAN to ENGLISH grids, 1-5, where learners are prompted with the GERMAN verbs, and look for them in GERMAN in the grid. For additional consolidation, each grid also features an ENGLISH verb list that they have to complete, really putting their knowledge to the test! There are also 5 ENGLISH to GERMAN grids, where the prompt verbs are given in ENGLISH, and learners have to find the GERMAN equivalent in the grid. For additional consolidation and practice in writing and conjugation in GERMAN, they also complete the GERMAN verb list on each page. The reference sheet, with both verbs conjugated in full, is a useful learning support resource, which students can stick in their workbooks or file in their learning folders for longer-term reference. This also helps to familiarize them with grammatical terminology, such as ‘masculine’, ‘feminine’ and ‘formal’. There is an answer grid for each word search, so that learners can check their own or each others’ answers - or use for a little extra help if they need it! The word searches are in landscape format, as this mirrors the common direction of reading from left to right, facilitating learner engagement with the activity. Use as starters, refreshers, plenaries or fun-time fillers at any time during the school year, as well as when you’re exploring verbs and conjugation in GERMAN. For a real focus on verb conjugation, and to facilitate learner independence, photocopy all the grids as a workbook, and let pupils simply work their way through. The workbook format is great for home learning activities too. Create an answer key booklet - one booklet for small groups of 3 or 4 learners is sufficient. If you create workbooks and answer key booklets, these are best prepared photocopied double-sided and with a double staple on the left-hand side. This format is far more reader, writer and learner-friendly than using a single-staple in the top left-hand corner for example. The resource consists of 3 non-editable files in a zipped format. Please read the TERMS OF USE carefully - the resource is copyright, and for single-teacher/purchaser only. VIELEN DANK UND VIEL SPAß BEIM KONJUGIEREN!
