T-Level Health 2024-2025 complete pick-up-and-run teaching package for B2.20 , B2.21 , B2.22 and B1.28 If you are following my SoW it is for weeks beginning 2nd and 9th December 2024. Included is a 155 slide presentation which you can stop-start, set slides as homework, encourages class discussions and has embedded YouTube clips to engage learners. Exam practice is embedded in the presentation when a topic is covered alongside this is a 29 page booklet with guided for note taking. In addition there is a completed copy of the booklet for the teacher (suitable for a cover teacher or student who has been absent) there are separate activities and exam questions (with answers) There is an end of topic exam with and easy to follow mark scheme which lends itself to peer marking. This package is for teachers delivering the new 2022 spec for BTEC Tech Award in Health and Social Care Component 2. For teachers following my SoW, this is for week 28 after the completion of Component 1. It has two presentations, one is 24 slides and covers physical barriers and ways to overcome those as per PSA Task 3, with applied examples. The second is 23 slides and covers Sensory Barriers. There is guidance and options for students note taking which will be a source of reference in the PSA. Students will be expected to know a range of potential barriers but the focus is on physical and sensory in the spec below and be able to recognise which barrier(s)apply and the most suitable ways to overcome these, for the PSA case study person with a health condition or social care circumstances. Throughout there is reference to different services from A2. Included is a mock exam to give a guided opportunity to have a go at task 1. Homework is set as the case studies they do not cover in the lesson so they have the full range from the spec. The package covers the below spec content; A3 Barriers to accessing services Definition of barriers: something unique to the health and social care system that prevents an individual to access a service. This is a resource package for teaching BTEC Level 3 HSC Unit 1 Human Lifespan Development B6 - Major Life Events. It covers all the spec and has an 8 page booklet you can adjust or add to which allows students to make notes in, carry out activities. B6 Major life events that affect development Predictable events: • these are events that are expected to happen at a particular time. While expected, they may still have an effect on a person’s health and wellbeing. This effect can be positive or negative, regardless of the event. Unpredictable events: • these are events that happen unexpectedly and can have serious physical and psychological effects on an individual. These effects can be positive or negative, regardless of the event. Many events can be either predictable or unpredictable depending on the life course of the individual. BTEC Tech Award Level 1/2 Health and Social Care Component 1 - a complete teaching package to pick-up and run with. This covers all that is needed for the life stage Middle Adulthood (46-64 years-olds) If you are following my SoW 2023-2024 this is Week 6, there is less in the content delivery so this week is an opportunity to start preparing students for their PSA Task 1. There are activities and worksheets to work on independently and homework for both Level 1 and Level 2. All the spec content for Middle Adulthood is included in one presentation with 40 slides which have animation so text is delivered in chunks. These cover the expected key characteristics in each of the PIES classifications. There are 10 activities for students to practice planning for the PSA in a visual steps format and then a written piece of work that is A4 but can be enlarged to A3. The content covered is:- Middle adulthood (46–64 years): • physical: at the end of this life stage the ageing process begins, menopause occurs for women • intellectual: can use knowledge and experience for complex decision making, may retire • emotional: may experience changes in self-image and self-esteem linked to retirement or ageing process, emotional wellbeing is based on attachment, security and contentment • social: may have more time to socialise All the resources are in a format you can adapt to suit your need. This is a resource package for teaching the New BTEC HSC Level 3, Unit 1 Human Growth &Development through Life Stages, A4 Social Development and covers all that’s on the spec. It has a 10 page booklet you can add to or alter, which has presentation note pages for the 2 PowerPoints, activities and homework tasks so it’s pretty engaging and the student can print it off and refer to sections themselves for revision. There is also an exam paper to test progress for A4 and a simplified mark scheme which allows peer marking to save time.
