Attached are the learning journeys for the AQA Sociology GCSE whole course. I was asked to create these by a customer who had downloaded some of my lessons and wanted to use them for the whole course. These are printed and stuck into the students books at the start of each topic. You can edit and tweak these to suit your own course. They are great, not only at the start of the topic area, but provide students with a revision checklist. Students can cross out/highlight lesson areas when they have revised them. These resources are planned to support students with a walking, talking mock of the Component 2 PSA. This is not used with students who are sitting the PSA as you obviously cannot guide students through these tasks. Each bullet point of the task is explained and suggestions given with regards to which content to include. Students are talked through how to attempt each task, and then given the directed time to complete each task. This Walking Talking Mock is for the September 2023 release. New AQA Specification 9-1. Lesson looking at how internal factors affect educational achievement. Covering School ethos, hidden curriculum, streaming/setting/mixed ability, labelling/self-fulfilling prophecy and subcultures including Paul Willis Learning to labour case study.

Planned for the new AQA 9-1 Specification A lesson that looks at Weber’s theory of authority- traditional, rational legal and charismatic authority. There are then some exam style questions to complete.

Lesson 10 on AQA 9-1 Specification Crime & Deviance This lesson looks at why there is a difference between the social classes and their involvement in crime. There is a 45 minute documentary link attached to one of the slides, that is not essential but a good alternative.
