This lesson and supporting resources provide an extremely detailed account of music, technology and society across the generations and how this has changed over time. Starting from the Lost Generation in the very early twentieth century and all the way through to the latest Alpha Generation. This massive lecture/presentation, along with all the learning resources would provide a great outline of modern history, also highlighting important historic and social events and a detailed blueprint for music listening habits and music technology. It covers major elements from each generation, these being: Outline and reason behind generation name Social Outline Common technology use during this time Audio technology of the time Top songs and singles of the era Outline of generations music Famous Artists from the generation The material in these resources would easily cover 4 to 5 lessons over roughly 5 or 6 weeks. The presentation covers the development of music and recording technology and major historic events of each time with a total of 51 slides. Moreover, there are over 50 embedded videos throughout the lesson linking to YouTube and providing an excellent addition to the resource. This resource also comes with 3 classroom tasks that can be completed alongside the lesson/presentation, also with integrated videos, and will aid learning and revision for learners. Moreover, there is a “Link” exercise, this testing student understanding and knowledge. Each of these Tasks come in a “No Style”, black and white print out or an attractive, “Styled” version to help engage learners. This resource also comes with TWO infographic resources to aid learning. This covering interesting facts on generations and their music and also important events to remember from each generation.
