This bundle is a set of resources for students in y8/9 this worked well when in classrooms during COVID and also when doing remote learning it includes Lesson 1- Stylistic Features analysis- students learn how to analyse RADS of a professional piece of Dance using a structured writing frame. Lesson 2- Dance skills- Students learn about physical and expressive skills and are asked to evaluate performance using correct terminology and writing structure. . Lesson 3- Students learn about the types of stimuli that can be used to create a dance and write their ideas using a writing structure Lesson 4- Students are given a brief and asked to write about their ideas for a themed piece from stimulus. This is for component 3 of the BTEC TECH award in performing arts. The resource is geared towards dance but could be easily adapted for drama in a matter of minutes. This resource is lesson 1 in a 5 Soldiers SOW useful mainly for COMPONENT 1 on the BTEC TECH award but stands alone for any other curriculum years too. Lesson 1 explores the first section of 5 soldiers and includes a creative task for students to complete as part of a workshop.

This Rosas Danst Rosas bundle includes ppt resources and sheets needed for an engaging set of practical and theory based lessons. This has worked wonderfully for our KS4 BTEC students during the COVID restrictions and is perfect for social distancing. It could however be a really fantastic SOW for KS3. A colourful review log for students at milestone 1 for component 2, this gives an outline of what students should include as well as target setting sheets and logs for them to fill in.

This bundle includes PPTs for all of the 5 Soldiers workshop lessons that I deliver. There are links to the live feed on youtube with appropriate timings so that students can watch the section. There are teacher links to material to learn for delivery in the workshops and there are also slides that can be printed to aid the activities and tasks. Each task has a progress and progress+ task criteria which helps to drive challenge.

This resource is an introduction to roles in Dance. It covers Dancer Choreographer Costume designer Set or Lighting designer It features a sorting quiz, a memory quiz, a picture bingo quiz and an extended writing task with WAGOLL examples.

This resource is designed for online or remote learning. It covers key stylistic features of key scenes from Matthew Bourne’s Nutcracker. Features listing tasks, extended writing using PIE structure and a creative sweet themed tasks. Videos are embedded to play whilst students can see key information and also comes with a word document that can be sent to students either as a word document or set as an assignment for students to edit live along with the lesson.

This resource is a homework pack that i distributed to my learners over the half term. It gives them a brief and a written example , as well as some information on the physical skills to complete a physical skills audit. The work students produced was excellent and much more detailed as a result of this resource.

This resource is for the beginning of the second phase of the Component 3 exam. I wanted to get my students thinking about different methods/techniques they could use to create more material-something that they will need to write about in their SKILLS LOG which will come in a few weeks time. The lesson encourages groups to try 2 out of the 4 suggested techniques for coming up with choreography/creating. This could EASILY be changed to 4 drama techniques/musical theatre techniques or even production techniques if needed . The ppt includes a creation canvas slide that i have printed out A3 for my students to. track their ideas/findings on. The resource also comes with a personal management SKILLS log that i am going to get them to fill out quickly each lesson- this will track their progress/contributions to the process which again they will need to write about in their SKILLS LOG.

This is an activity designed for students to work from home. I have set my y9 the challenge of completing 1 per week but you could challenge students to complete a line or full house. Adaptable so you can change the tasks on here to anything else.
