They will also examine the phenomenon of the hikikomoris of Japan, individuals who choose to actively cut themselves off from all off-line communities, and explore the impact this has on their mental health. This has been written to cover the 2026 PSHE guidance on the importance of communities. The lesson will last you at least one hour and is best suited to upper KS3 or KS4.
