Here is everything you will need to teach ‘Unit 2: Fitness training & programming for health, sport & well-being’ within the Perasons BTEC Sports Extended Diploma Level 3. My students have achieved merits and distinctions in their examination for this unit, after I have taught all content using these resources.
I have planned this unit based on each question, so you will find 6 PowerPoint presentations, on each of the questions that are included in the examination. These are complemented with two work booklets, that should be printed off for students and they can complete as you are teaching the lessons. These booklets will be a great tool for students when they are revising for the exam.
Each lesson will start off with a low-stakes quiz based on the previous lesson. The questions have been pre-planned and included in the work booklets for students to complete. This is a great teaching and learning technique to adopt prior to the exam, as all content will be reconsolidated and embedded within the long-term memory of students.

This worksheet is based on session plans for fitness training. Learners need to create session plans including a warm-up, main session and cool-down. Learners will identify intensity, reps, sets and weight for each session. There are 4 different templates; speed, flexbility, cardiovascular endurance and resistance.

17 bodyweight exercise stations to be used for circiuts.
Each circuit consists of 3 variations of the exercise as well as indicate which muscles are being worked.
These are a set of explanations on how to perform each of the fitness tests with pictures, all national averages for GCSE age students and an equipment list.
I used these in my fitness testing lessons to put on the wall and in student recording books so they could perform and investigate the tests independently in the lesson.
