Powerpoints for lesson starters. The Spanish idiom, and the pictures appear before the English, to allow pupils to guess. The word document contains some of the idioms from powerpoints but no English - suitable for a quiz. Feedback welcomed.
I have put together a wee quiz to introduce pupils to Spanish through some general knowledge on culture and language, several of the slides are timed so just click, sit back and enjoy!
Twitter board, levels sheets, a range of vocab etc.
Challenge capsules - to be printed and cut out and put into individual tubs - you can get packs of tubs in most pound shops! When students have finished their work they choose a challenge capsule and complete the task.
Phrase of fortnight - write a phrase on board in each lang each fortnight. If students use this in context they are given a raffle ticket. Choose a winner to win sweets each fortnight.

A Word Document dealing with some simple phrases, with present subjunctive only, to allow students to include simple uses in own writing, coursework etc, with only limited knowledge of what the subjunctive is.
Power-point to look at various festivals from the Spanish Speaking world with a more in depth-focus on La Tomatina. Includes various activities and could be adapted for different levels / year groups
A booklet to help explain how to conjugate the various tenses, the difference between SER and ESTAR, adjectival agreement and the gender of nouns. It also has a list of good opinion phrases, numbers and the alphabet. At the front is a key to tenses as I find that students continue to ask which tense they should be using.
UPDATED. Based on rockmonkey’s excellent Y12 Spanish Booklet, I have made my own version. This is for the old AQA but it has things that you might be wanted to use in the new.

Tried and tested exercises to give your students loads of practice using the preterite tense of regular AR, ER and IR verbs in Spanish. In addition, practise the irregular verb IR and a range of common time expressions. Finally, put your knowledge to the test to see if you can distinguish between Past, Present and Future tenses. There is an answer sheet so that students can mark their own work.
