In Annotate Text in Google Docs, students make digital notes in an article to increase their understanding of what they read.

Duration: 45-90 minutes

Annotate Text in Google Docs is suitable for:

  • Key Stage 3

Students use Docs.

By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

  • Read text closely
  • Identify specific elements in a text
  • Annotate in a digital document

The resource is video-based and features FREE, ready-to-use lesson plans, rubrics to enable teachers to evaluate a student’s work across a variety of skills and levels of proficiency (i.e. beginner, developing, accomplished, and exemplary) and a dashboard to show how each student is progressing.
