Christmas Grammar Review | 12 Days of Christmas Grammar and Writing Activities

It’s tough to start anything new in December, but it’s a perfect time for a fun Christmas grammar review to practice concepts students have previously learned! Students will get a thorough review of language concepts with lots of fun writing practice in the days leading up to the holiday/winter break with these 12 Days of Christmas themed activities!

These activities would also be perfect for ESL students. The variety of graphics options makes them work well for either elementary or adult ESL students.

This resource includes:

  • A grammar point for each day: students are given a short review and activity that focuses on that specific grammar or language point. After that, there is a short writing activity for even more practice on that concept.

  • Sheets for students to use to complete the writing activity. Also includes a link to access Google Slides for a paperless option for the writing prompt activities.

  • Proofreading/editing cards with a focus on the grammar point for the day. And, in keeping with the theme of the song, it also reminds them to check their work for all the grammar and language points from the previous days.

  • Optional cover to make a booklet to compile all the activities for the 12 days

  • Notes, suggestions for use, and answer keys

  • Multiple printing options are included in both black and white versions: full or limited clip art, with or without name lines.

The following grammar/language points are covered in this resource:
