Middle school students, especially sixth graders, enjoy making these hands-on miniature booklets for Geography and Social Studies classes. These handy little references help in understanding the hemispheres and continents of the world. Materials needed are scissors and glue, and optional colored pencils if colored-printed sheets are not available. Simply cut on the dotted lines and glue together on the edges. A picture is provided of the completed booklet with flaps that lift up revealing all hemisphere halves and quadrants. A worksheet is provided as an example for partner discussions while using the booklet, or for class review.
