This is a fun an open structured CVC booklet that allows to “think dive” into the world of CVC word. There are pages with a CVC word written and these may be a good introduction.
On the other pages there is a vowel written on the snowman and the children have to choose the two constants to make up a word.
• Let your children write letters in the snowman’s mittens to make up their CVC words.
Then the children can help the winter hare with big ears on each page to find words that rhyme with the word on the snowman.
Since the booklet is open structured it is also possible to make CCVC and CVCC words (for example, frog and duck). Simply written two letters in the mittens.
There are pages with the following vowels A, E, I, O and U.
