I have written this scheme to introduce musical theatre as a way into GCSE Performing Arts. Our school teach performing arts through music so the scheme is based on groups performing a musical song of their own choice. Please comment with any feedback.
2 project briefs designed to help students produce an independent project. I issue these at the start of AS photography course (before the Summer) so I can assess their way of working. students bring back some surprises!
We have ALWAYS had high praise for this project from the moderator.. and it ticks some other cross curricular links as it encourages students read a book to inspire artwork.
This document should be used with the 'GCSE Student Guide to Assessment&' to encourage students to develop their own creative ideas.
I start this coursework project from October in year 10 and aim to get students working on final pieces in the Summer term of year 10. Year 11 then continue to develop ideas for further outcomes for unit 1 up until their exam.
Powerpoint showing several photos of Roman shields that I made leading into an activity where children design their own Roman shield based on certain criteria.<br />
The children went on to design their own Roman Shields and then made then with cardboard and painted them.<br />
Perfect for giving them ideas!
A Powerpoint to support the sketching of 'winter trees'<br />
I made this for a year 3 class to show them examples of Winter trees with no leaves for discussion before going outside and sketching real life trees. I have included some images too. <br />
Save yourself loads of time by downloading this fully editable A level Art Student handbook. The document provides information about the structure of the course, expectations, support with developing a portfolio and general course ethos.<br />
Because it is provided as a Word document you can modify the document to best suit your particular school.<br />
A quick, easy way of preparing for September.
