GCSE History, The Construction and Impact of the Berlin Wall, Superpower Relations and the Cold War
GCSE History 2016. Superpower Relations and the Cold War, 1941-91. Lesson focuses on the construction of the Berlin Wall and the impact of the construction. Lesson begins with a quiz on NATO and Warsaw Pact countries. There are then some fact or fiction questions about the Berlin Wall. Students then complete a chronology exercise on the construction of the Berlin Wall. There is also a diamond win students complete on the impact of the construction of the wall. There is also an example narrative question with an exemplar answer. The lesson finishes with a quiz to check student understanding. Useful for the new Superpower Relations and the Cold War unit, key topic 2: Cold War Crises, 1958-70.
