Consider the presence of any literary artifice in the text. If the book is a novel, reflect on how the structure of the plot is developed within the story. Reflect on the originality of the book. Does the work add new information to the genre of belonging? The author may wish to challenge or expand the rules and rules that exist in the classification of the genre. Evaluate the degree of success of the book. Has the author succeeded in realizing the substantial objective of the work? Have you been satisfied with the final? Would you recommend reading this book to others?

Write an introduction. A good introduction will attract the reader’s attention so as to induce him to read the rest of the review, he will also inform him about the topic of the review itself.

Make sure that the introduction contains relevant details, such as the author’s training and, if applicable, his previous experiences related to the genre in question. You can also indicate the main topics that you will discuss in the review to guide the reader and give him an indication of your opinion of the book.

Some possible debuts include: a historical moment, an anecdote, a surprising or intriguing statement and simple statements. Regardless of the opening phrases, be sure to link them directly to the critical response of the book, keeping them short and concise.
