Ancient Egypt topic plan for half a term. Mainly history-based, with a little bit of science, art and geography. \n\nI used Hamilton plans for a lot of my ideas but tweaked it to my preference. I advise you to do the same with this.
This is my planning for Block A Unit 1 for Year 4. I have also included the evaluation sheets I use to assess the children. These can then be used to inform APP.

I use this timetable outside the literacy hour to complete my guided reading. I usually use it first thing in the afternoon, but it could be used at any time during the day. It really helps me to make sure I spend quality time doing guided reading.

(Before the Battle of Hastings lesson) The PowerPoint goes through the claimants to the throne in 1066 which allows students to work in groups for the election campaign task. <br />
The CV worksheet provides students with extra information to support with the group task. The election task work sheet gives clear instructions alongside extension tasks to enable students to complete high quality group work.
Goes from the dinosaurs through key periods of history to the present day. Use MS Word to adapt it.
I have added the Stone, Bronze, Iron and Middle Ages to the updated version. As well as the first public railway in 1825, England winning the World Cup in 1966 and the 2012 Olympics.
