Public Policy & Federalism
Part of the Public Policy series, students examine a public policy issue. This lesson asks students to evaluate whether the federal government is doing enough to protect voting rights for American citizens. Students will start with a warm-up reviewing the Supremacy Clause, then read an article where the federal government asserts its power over state governments. Lesson is designed with Common Core in mind. Students will find evidence to support claims. Designed for use with Chromebooks, but can be adapted in a "technology free" way, or to use different technology (iPads, etc.)
