This PowerPoint introduces the formula for volume of a Pyramid or Cone, followed by 6 questions. The questions can be used as examples, completed through whole class questioning or worked by students individually, depending on your preference, alternatively you could use a mix of these methods. Worked solutions appear on the question slides line by line. The picture here shows five of the six shapes used, the sixth being The Great Pyramid of Khufu, Egypt. Four of the questions are finding volume, one is finding the base area and one finding the height. These questions are also included here as a worksheet, and an answer sheet, which may be your choice of presentation method or can be used for student notes.
