An atmospheric French escape room that brings Halloween grammar practice to life. Students step inside a haunted house to solve tense-based puzzles and uncover clues.
Escape room
Learners explore four cinematic rooms, each dedicated to a key tense: the present, perfect, near future and simple future. Behind every door, they’ll find a mix of interactive multiple-choice questions, short translation tasks, and a gap-fill text to unlock the next stage.
It can be played as a whole-class activity, but students get the most out of it when working individually or in pairs on computers, fully immersed in the sound, visuals and storyline.
What’s included
• A Genially escape room link (fully interactive and self-running)
• A tense grammar mat to support students
• A printable worksheet for early finishers or to set as homework
○ Available in PDF and PPTX, in colour and black-and-white versions
Created with detailed cinematic design and French narration, this game transforms grammar revision into a genuinely engaging experience.
I hope you and your students enjoy it.
