In this investigation, children are challenged to look within their classroom to find examples of maths.
This lesson is designed for a start-of-year investigation, where children recall the maths strands they've covered in prior years and try to find examples of fractions, angles, shapes, etc in real-life spaces.
Ideally suited for lower KS2 year groups, but can easily be used as a practical, kinaesthetic investigation for upper KS2 year groups as well.
An interactive whiteboard presentation and full lesson plan are included.
