TEACHTALK EARLY YEARS FARM ANIMALS SPEECH AND LANGUAGE INTERACTIVE ACTIVITY PLANS

Printable TeachTalk ‘Farm Animals’ themed activity plan to support and develop speech, language and communication skills in Early Years children. Can be used in early years settings, nurseries, reception classes, childminders, playgroups or in the home. I have been an Early Years teacher for many years and found that I was working with increasing numbers of children with speech and language needs e.g. difficulties understanding simple instructions, limited vocabulary. I needed to find a way of meeting the needs of several children in one group activity which was still fun and engaging and didn’t feel like ‘therapy’ sessions. And so the TeachTalk sessions were born! Fun activities based on favourite and familiar themes which could be easily adapted to incorporate the needs of several children.
