The Art of Mathematics - Andy Warhol
The Art of Mathematics looks at a variety of artists and styles of art. For each artist we give a brief history of their life, links to examples of their work and ideas for mathematical activities to go with specific works. This article looks at the work of Andy Warhol who is best known for his exploration of Pop Art, an art movement that emerged in the 1950s. He loved pop culture, and began painting pictures of Coca-Cola bottles, Campbell’s Soup, and his favourite celebrities.
