#### Junior Math. Time Telling - Visuals and Activities

I originally produced this resource to help my own children learn to tell the time. It has since been used extensively to support teaching time telling to children aged between 5 and 10 years of age.

This Math resource provides clear visuals and activities to support children in the development of time telling skills. The aim is to encourage children to take a hands on approach and enjoy learning to tell the time.

Slides are provided in three different formats; full colour, black and white photocopiable and tinted dyslexia friendly.
#### 'Class win or fail' revision game. Suitable for everything!!

Hi,

This is a creative and engaging game.

There are 15 timed questions - they are all linked to the main slide.

The purpose - if the class get 12 or more correct, they win the reward. If they get less than 12, they get the punishment!

Be careful - each questions has a countdown timer!

This is adaptable to any subject, for any age by simply over-typing the questions.

This is the easiest and most engaging way to have a revision quiz!!

Enjoy
#### Math Revision - any topic - Information hunt, consolidation and application, its fun

Thank you for taking the time to view my premium resource. It is designed to provide you with a lesson in which pupil’s progress, the lessons follow a pathway; prepare for learning, lesson objectives, present new information, construct on that information, apply and demonstrate, review and consolidate.

This revision lesson can be applied to any subject and any topic which makes it so powerful. Because of this the teacher will have to prepare 9 information slides each with 3 pieces of information relating to the chosen topic. I have added a set of slides from halogen (chemistry) revision as a template. This took me 10 mins to produce and I am not a chemist.

This resource will provide you with a fantastic revision, which is fun for the pupils and an effective lesson that will save you that precious commodity – time

Lesson Overview

Why revision is important – simple question but gets them thinking
30 second dash memory game – information hunt
Rank the information in order of importance – construct meaning from information
Group paragraph maker – apply knowledge – 6 mark question practice
You’re the examiner – groups make up exam questions
The test – groups pitch their questions against each other

Homework Make revision poster – spider diagram on topic

All for less than a small glass of wine!
#### GCSE Problem Solving Questions of the Day - 27th April

Every day in the run up to the GCSE exams we are intending to put up two GCSE problems of the day on Twitter. Here are the files you can use in the classroom. For each problem there are some variations that you might want to use instead or in addition.

The first two problems are suitable for foundation and higher and the second are suitable for higher.

The first problems involve using formulae, forming and solving equations.

The second problems involve forming and solving equations involve area and perimeter and mean of data in a table.

We hope you enjoy using them. Please tweet your student solutions to @WRMathsHub for a chance to win a prize
