Interactive Music Symbols Games-Google Slides/Adobe Reader-Outdoor Adventures

Outdoor Adventures -Music Symbols and Terms is an interactive Outdoor themed Music game designed for both Google Slides and Adobe Reader (PDF). It allows students go on a virtual adventure visiting different scenes to help the children with practicing their music skills and provide teachers an opportunity to assess students in the process. Students will learn about various woodland animals and outdoor activities in the process of practicing music skills. Students pick a person or animal while searching for forest friends. In the process, they get music questions to practice. When they get it correct, they learn an interesting fact about the animal or the activity pictured. This is a great back to school review activity or one to play any time during the year! It is a great way to integrate technology into the classroom and differentiate instruction. It also helps students (especially second language learners) develop language skills and vocabulary development. But, most importantly, it provides lots of fun while learning about Music! When designing this product, I was thinking of how my own students love to take turns playing games in my class. They can’t get enough of it and always want “another turn.” This product has plenty of opportunities for students to have several turns during one class, or over several class periods. This game can be projected for a class to play at once or used on an iPad or tablet for individual for small group/center play. It can be assigned through Google Classroom as a way to practice skills independently. It takes the place of flash cards! Each location is like a mini game It can be played over one or several class periods. LOTS of content here! I hope your students enjoy Outdoor Adventures Interactive Music Symbols and Terms Game as much as my students have! Weather chart - UK

Weather chart - UK

I created this chart when curriculum 2014 came into effect to help me cover regularly the weather elements in the Science and Geography section with my KS1 children as well as 'time' within Maths. it is meant to be laminated or covered in sticky-back, clear adhesive so that it can be written on with a whiteboard marker. The months are colour coded to seasons and images are chosen to help the children learn the words and recall what happens over the year. My helpers of the day were responsible for updating the sticky images that were stuck on with sticky backed velcro. The sections with no small words in were written in at the beginning of every month by me. I did need to make three copies of the weather cards in case all three days had the same weather. Sometimes we had a discussion and sometimes the children completed the chart independently in the mornings. In maths, we used it to help organise and learn the days and months. The prediction of weather took a while for them to learn the difference between what they wanted the weather to be like compared to what the weather would probably be like in that season but did improve. It was also helpful to learn that sunny needn't mean warm which is why it has extended sections e.g. weather feeling cards too.

Climate of Doubt The Politics of Global Warming (Frontline) Questions with Key

Myron Ebell Climate Change Global Warming In 2008, climate change was a hot issue and politicians from both sides seemed poised to act. Today (October 21, 2012) public opinion on the climate issue has cooled considerably. Politicians either ignore it or proclaim their skepticism. What’s behind this massive reversal? FRONTLINE goes inside the organizations that fought the scientific establishment to shift the direction of the climate debate.

White King, Red Rubber, Black Death King Leopold II Video Notes With Answer Key

YouTube Video Link Provided as a Courtesy. By re-creating King Leopold II of Belgium's brutal 19th century colonization of the Congo with modern-day actors, filmmaker Peter Bate presents a tragic chapter of European history that's been largely forgotten. In the process of harvesting rubber from a vast forced labor camp nestled in the region -- ruled with an iron fist by His Majesty himself -- millions of innocent Africans would die for the sake of profit.
