German Grammar Blockbusters

German Grammar Blockbusters

There are 40 squares on the board. In pairs, the aim is to answer questions and get across the board from left to right uninterrupted. If a team gets an answer wrong the question can be answered by any of the other teams (first to buzz) – if they are correct they get the square and the team that has been blocked will need to start from the beginning again. Players can either work in pairs or can alternate answering questions. Suitable for use on interactive whiteboard for the whole class or to be printed to be used in groups.

Cases, adjective endings, prepositions and pronouns - handout

Cases, adjective endings, prepositions and pronouns - handout

Useful for Year 10-12 This resource is a visual summary of cases (nominative, accusative, dative, genitive) and adjective endings including an example sentence to show the function of each case. It also contains prepositions and some tips on how to remember prepositions, cases and endings more easily. The second page includes relative (including a comparison with the 'der-word table to see the similarities and differences), personal and possessive pronouns on one page. I asked my students to print two copies (one in A4 and one in A3) in color and stick one in their exercise books and the other one on the door / wall of their room so that they can always see it.
