#### A-Level (C1): Quadratic Graphs including solving quadratic inequalities (2 lessons + worksheet)

This is to teach the different elements of quadratic graphs or quadratic functions. The PowerPoint is split into 2 lessons, but this obviously depends on the strength of the relative A-Level class. The 2 lessons include starters, plenaries, activities with answers, but most importantly very clear teaching slides and key words to build a strong understanding among learners. I have included this as a bundle with solving quadratic equations using different methods to have a complete teaching and resource bundle to teach chapter 2 of the A-Level C1 content.NOTE: Feel free to browse my shop for more excellent free and premium resources and as always please rate and feedback, thanks.

#### A-Level (C1): Chapter 2 - Quadratic Functions and Graphs (5 lessons + Resources)

1. Solving quadratic functions by factorising 2. Solving quadratic functions by completing the square 3. Solving quadratic functions by using the formula 4. Quadratic Graphs/ Functions 5. Quadratic Graphs/ Functions including inequalities This is perfect for teaching chapter 2 of C1, and all leassons include resources and answers, lots of little activities, excellent teaching slides, starters, plenaries, key words and learning objectives. This is a very thorough amount of resources and some you may not need, but I also use them for my top sets in year 11 as well. NOTE: Feel free to browse my shop for more excellent free and premium resources and as always please rate and feedback, thanks.

#### AS Tranformations of functions

An introduction to transforming functions for C1. The worksheet provided has axes for students to draw the transformed functions. The second lesson moves away from using the coordinates and includes an example of an exam question.

#### AS Change of base formula and exponentials

A lesson that covers using the change of base formula for logarithms and sketching different exponential functions, with the aim for students to see for themselves the key aspects of the graphs.

#### AS Roots and the discriminant

A powerpoint for C1 that covers using the quadratic formula, what roots are and how the discriminant can be used to determine the number of roots a function has.

#### Inverse Functions – Math puzzle

Inverse Functions – Math puzzleMatch the functions with their inverse functions.I’ve included three different sizes of the same puzzle. The smaller size is only three pages and it is great if you are going to print of individual copies for students to practice with in class or at home. The larger size requires 6 pieces of paper and quite a bit of space to solve – fun for centers and group work. The extra-large size requires 18 pieces of paper.Cut out the puzzle pieces (or even better if your students do it themselves) and students are to solve the puzzle so that it matches the solution provided. I’ve been using these puzzles for years with great success! I recommend printing the puzzles on colourful paper and laminating them. This way you only have to cut them out once and they will last for years! What is included in this product?• The solution to the puzzle – Page 3• The normal size puzzle – Pages 4 – 5• The large size puzzle – Pages 6 – 11• The extra-large size puzzle – Pages 12-27• Questions and Answers in a table format for easy grading or you can cut these out to play a matching game – Pages 28 – 29My students love doing these types of puzzles. This product can also be used as a perfect revision of the school work to do at home. All answers can be easily checked thanks to the included solution to the puzzle or questions and answers shown in a table.Thank you for checking my resources.

#### Solving Trigonometric Equations with Radians (Graphically)

A fully animated lesson on solving trigonometric equations in radians using graphs. This was taught for an AS group sitting the AQA spec, which the textbook exercises relate to. Starter focuses on converting between radians and degrees and how to plot the 3 trig functions in radians. Examples then focus on solving basic trig equations, solving with an adjusted interval and finally solving after using trig identities to simplify an equation with two or more trig functions. I also used the excellent Tarsia resource recommended by MrBartonMaths which can be found at https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/tarsia-solving-trig-equations-radians-6115949. Please leave a review!
