It’s good to use for Media topic (Music) and for writing with opinions. I have used this resource many times over the last few years and just changed it each year to make it up to date, it has always gone down really well with students! Duration: 50-60 minutes (supports EXPO 1/2). Objective: Describe people using IL/ELLE + ILS/ELLES and ETRE/AVOIR. Setting the scene: Originally used for a high achieving Y7 class, this could also be used for a Foundation Y8 class. The lesson is cultural, it focuses on Jean Dujardin, a French actor, and Big Flo et Oli, French rappers. The lesson was well received by my Y7 class and the foundation for progression is closely related to the text included within the PowerPoint. Use this resource as a review and reinforcement of the conditional mood. Three songs are used - modern and classic - to appeal to boys and girls alike, to show students how the conditional is visible in the real word. A whole lesson is prepared here - with objective, main sections - discussing which of the conditional phrases is the most extravagant in the songs. La Musique - The Voice

La Musique - The Voice

Lesson on the different types of music using The Voice. Four students need to go to the board, facing the back of the room. When clicking the note on the slide a video from an actual The Voice France audition will play (between 30s and a minute) and the students need to decide if they like it or not (turn around or note) and then give an opinion and a reason in French. For the links to work, the videos need to be in the same folder as the PowerPoint. I have used it with Y7 to Y11 (adapting the language) and it has always been a success.
