Assembly - diversity, immigration, British values

(1)
Secondary assembly aiming to combat bullying of minority pupils. Focus on positive contributions of immigration, and celebrating what we have in common alongside the ways we are different. Main theme is the Jo Cox quote "We are more united and have more in common than that which divides us" - pupils will need some context providing.

I think I may have adapted the text from something found on here so if you recognise it as your own, many thanks. :)
French perfect tense revision quiz

French perfect tense revision quiz

(2)
Pupils had covered perfect tense during module on hobbies/leisure in the previous term but had had a bit of a break from it. Used quiz to get them thinking about it again and prepare to apply it to the current topic. Could use to test how much they remember, or let them use their exercise books (opportunity for them to evaluate how good their note-taking is and if their books will help them revise).

Covers similar ground but more quickly for Rouge (they have fewer lessons) and with tenses. References to reading tasks may be other files I have uploaded here. I have taken a few slides (mostly typed up textbook resources) from other resources found on TES so thanks if that was you!

Match reasons for jobs in French & English

(3)
Disclaimer: adapted from a teacher at my placement school, not entirely my own work. First pupils do card-sort activity - match reasons for jobs in French and English. When they finish, start filling in the grid. As extension or homework - fill in the 3rd column with a job title (in French) that goes with the reason - there is more than one possible answer for this.

Reading task - past holidays - perfect tense with avoir and etre

(1)
Text to introduce a class who are already familiar with the perfect tense of regular and irregular verbs with avoir to the idea of verbs which use etre as the auxiliary. Used as a challenging lesson for top set Y8 but would be suitable for KS4. 1) Reading for gist - give each paragraph a title (EXT: Come up with your own title for the last line as this doesn't have one provided). 2) Categorise verbs into avoir aux and etre verb (EXT: Identify the 2 types of verb that use etre - movement and reflexives) 3) True or false Qs.
