A 40 minute employability skills lesson which was created for www.liketobe.org - an online networking platform which helps to raise student aspirations by connecting educators & students with employers and professionals for real world career guidance. This is the fifth of 12 sessions which will cover all aspects of employability skills, as well as serve as a step-by-step guide for schools and students that are signed up to the LikeToBe website. This fifth session is all about technological / computer literacy - exploring why it’s important for us to keep our skills up to date and be life-long learners. It investigates how technology has impacted on our social and work lives over the past few decades and why almost every job today will want students to be proficient in using the most common software packages. All of these resources are three way differentiated, engaging and challenging. They are best suited to KS4 or KS5 students and each lasts 40 minutes. For more information on how your school could benefit from the new LikeToBe initiative, visit www.liketobe.org More PSHE, Citizenship and RE resources are available at my store: EC Resources
