This bundle has three lessons. The first lesson is on the earth's formation and structure. The second lesson is on the plate tectonics theory and evidence of tectonic movement. The final lesson is on plate boundaries and what happens at each boundary. The lessons are all planned in detail with everything you need to deliver them. This bundle as designed for KS3 but the lessons can be adapted easily for GCSE.
This is a lesson on the definition and human causes of global warming. Key facts about the lesson are:
1. The lesson examines the key concepts of global warming, the greenhouse effect and human causes of global warming.
2. The lesson is strong with differentiation activities for students at either end of ability level. As a result the lesson is suitable for students at KS3 and GCSE.
3. The lesson is embedded with some very good video links explaining the greenhouse effect and human causes of global warming. They have been used to simplify content as well as stimulate class discussions.
4. There is also an active learning task where students have to move around the room to collect and discuss information, a graph making skills exercise and peer teaching activity.

This is a GSCE lesson on the causes and effects of sub-urbanisation and counter-urbanisation. The lesson can also be adapted for A level as well.
This is an all in one lesson; all the resources, tasks, differentiated activities are on the ppt. The lesson is develop already as well; it flows naturally from the starter to the plenary and is really very simply to follow. Simply download the lesson ppt and teach! All the planning is done for you so you can concentrate on marking books etc .

This is one of the most active and destructive hurricane season in the Atlantic Ocean area on records. Thousands of people (including British nationals) have been affected by hurricanes this hurricane season. There is never a better opportunity to teach about hurricanes whether or not it's on your LS for T1.
Here we have three (3) lessons that explore the science behind hurricane formation, an analysis of the social and economic impact of hurricanes and finally a look at ways hurricanes can be managed to minimise the loss of lives.

There are three (3) lessons on coasts included in this bundle.
One lesson is an introduction lesson on coasts focusing on the features by the coast and the importance of learning about it in schools.
The other lesson is on wave and tide formation including a look at the features of a wave.

This is a case study lesson on the Haiti 2010 earthquake. The lesson is planned to GCSE standards but can be used for KS3 as well. Key facts about the lesson are:

This bundle covers the hazards caused by tectonic plates. Included in the bundle are lessons on the nature of earthquakes and volcanoes (including their life stages), measuring earthquakes, two case studies (one on earthquakes and another on volcanoes) and a lesson on responding to earthquakes and volcanoes. There is also a bonus lesson on what are hazards which can be used as an introduction to the lessons.
This is world map skill lesson. In the lesson students will be locating continents, oceans and some countries on a world map then creating their own map version. The purpose of the lesson is to improve students location awareness. This is a practical lesson, a good task for any time of the year but especially suitable for end of term run ins or those dreaded period 5s or for use as a cover lesson.
