I am Head of History and a Teaching and Learning Guide at a large secondary school. I teach all Key Stages with a focus on teaching GCSE and A Level to large classes. As I am in the classroom I understand the demands being placed on teachers by new specifications and assessment criteria. Through sharing these resources I hope to help teachers acquire new resources and ideas to make the step to the new specifications a successful one.

Edexcel History GCSE - Execution of Mary, Queen of Scots

(1)
THIS RESOURCE RELATES TO THE PEARSON EDEXCEL 9-1 ELIZABETHAN ENGLAND BOOK. This lesson begins with a challenging starter activity to get students to consider what they have learnt about Elizabethan England so far - low, high and challenging questions used for a differentiated approach. This could be widened into a main activity for revision at a later point. Guided questions help students to explore Mary's execution and the work of Francis Walsingham.
