This is the ninth lesson taught in the new BTEC series for the specification points ;
• Understand the quantities used in chemical reactions:
o mass, volume of solution, concentration
o reacting quantities
o percentage yields.
This lesson starts by discussing molarity, concentration and the equation needed to calculate between them. Examples are provided, then pupils have a go at some questions themselves.
Reacitng quantities is then discussed, again with examples, questions for the pupils to have a go at.
Finally percentage yields is dicussed and practiced.
