Welcome to my range of science resources, I hope to support teachers and students with my range of whole lessons, active revision cards, funky foldables and more. In case of queries contact lilac.anchor@yahoo.com

Useful for students to use for revision, and for teachers to use in a lesson as an activity or plenary.
Includes a 'Do' and 'Review' slide, the 'Do' will check understanding and make the learning more active, the 'Review' can help students check answers and act as a revision card.

**Newton’s Laws Organised Work Mat - Includes an answer sheet. Please leave a review! Suggestions below to - USE these is an outstanding lesson.
An information mat AND worksheet/ work mat for students to collect and organise the information they require for the Newton’s Laws lesson. No books or other resources required for this activity as I have written all materials to work together and allow the students to work independently.
Part of a pack that I sell on Part 2 Forces Topic 5 (the motion topics), which includes work mats and activities such as calculations and card sorts.
There are many uses for this resource depending on ability
High Ability
Higher sets are asked to read the review sheet as homework before the lesson, perhaps asking for a word glossary or mind map to be produced. The starter for the lesson would be to complete the work mat from memory, then switch to another colour to complete using the Information Mat (review). The rest of the lesson I ask a high ability set to apply the knowledge.
Low Ability
Lower sets are able to independently complete the work using the Information mat (review) and work mat together, they can read and simply find the answers.

Useful for students to use for revision, and for teachers to use in a lesson as an activity to help students learn the action potential graph.
Includes a 'Do' slide and 'Review' slide. The 'Do' slide is an activity to check understanding, statements can be matched to each part of a blank graph which students can be encouraged to have a go at drawing (you need to source this - many options available on internet for checking students work). The 'Review' are the answers which doubles up as a revision card for the student.
Teaching Ideas: The Do can follow chalk and talk or similar as the teaching component, alternatively send one student in a group at a time to view the graph and report back to draw the graph shape. Students can then work out which statement belongs where, this should be followed up by teacher consolidation.

This is lesson 3 in the new Bioenergetics topic for AQA new 9-1 Trilogy and Biology specification. Written by an experienced teacher, writer and examiner, for teachers to teach a whole lesson at KS4.
This lesson contains all elements for an outstanding lesson, with maximum student involvement and minimal teacher consolidation (just the chalk and talk that is necessary). Teaches how the structure of a leaf is adapted for photosynthesis.
Learning intention: To explain how the structure of a leaf is adapted for photosynthesis.
ALSO look up
Free lesson 1 Learning intention: To explain photosynthesis with an equation, naming reactant and products.
Paid for lesson 2 Learning intention: To describe how plants use the glucose they produce in photosynthesis.
(This advertised resource is for lesson 3.)
Includes a tool for the demonstration of progress, activities for the students, mini plenaries to ensure students are understanding as you go along, a modelling activity that you can keep to remind students in future lessons, printable support mats to have available in the room (fantastic if you don’t have any or enough text books) which double up as revision cards to give the students to take away and revise with (the revision cards are available to purchase as whole topics), or read ahead before the lesson.

This is lesson 6 in the new Cell Biology topic for AQA new 9-1 Trilogy and Biology specification. Written by an experienced teacher, writer and examiner, for teachers to teach a whole lesson at KS4
Covering chromosomes, mitosis and the cell cycle, with learning intention: To describe the stages of the cell cycle.
Each lesson provides take away learning card(s) so the students can keep a record of the content for that lesson, this lesson provides a treasure hunt to collect the information, choice of activties to consolidate and be creative, opportunities to make flash cards and exit tickets to adjust teaching in the next lesson.
All elements are included for an outstanding lesson.

Krebs Cycle and Oxidative Phosphorylation Double Lesson
Learning intention: To describe the process and site of the Krebs Cycle and Oxidative Phosphorylation.
Can easily be split into two lessons if required. Works well in flipped learning or by a traditional method.
This was written to meet the OCR A specification but looks like it would meet the requirements of other exam boards or could be easily tweaked.
Resources include take away active revision cards for students, which double up as sources of information and can be issued the lesson prior to turn into a flipped learning environment - they read all the information they need, then spend the lesson learning it further/ applying it/ using it.
Plenty of activities for students to learn and demontrate progress.

This is lesson 5 in the new Bioenergetics topic for AQA new 9-1 Trilogy and Biology specification. Written by an experienced teacher, writer and examiner, for teachers to teach a whole lesson at KS4.
This lesson contains all elements for an outstanding lesson, with maximum student involvement and minimal teacher consolidation (just the chalk and talk that is necessary). Teaches aerobic and anaerobic respiration and the comparison (plants, animals, yeast.)

Paid for lesson 2 Learning intention: To describe how plants use the glucose they produce in photosynthesis.
Paid for lesson 3 Learning intention: To explain how the structure of a leaf is adapted for photosynthesis.
Paid for lesson 4 Learning intention: To interpret data about the rate of photosynthesis.
(This is lesson 5.)
Includes a tool for the demonstration of progress, information mats, a wow demo, many student activities printable support mats to have available in the room (fantastic if you don’t have any or enough text books) which double up as revision cards to give the students to take away and revise with (the revision cards are available to purchase as whole topics), or read ahead before the lesson, class sets equations cards for printing on cards or laminating. Giving students the take away revision cards also ticks the box for providing intervention for any students behind target, supporting EAL, pupil premium etc.

This lesson is the second lesson of the new AQA Biology and Trilogy 9-1 specification (topic 1).
It covers an introduction of animal, plant and bacteria cells.
Each lesson provides take away learning card(s) so the students can keep a record of the content for that lesson, this lesson provides activities to meet the following outcomes.
Describe the structure of animal, plant and bacterial cells.
These lessons have a basic presentation, which can be made to look more engaging with free pictures from the internet which I cannot sell due to copyright, however the teaching from the lessons can be outstanding when customised to your own school/classes requirements and used together with my other suggested documents (also attached).
My lessons contain all of the elements to make an outstanding lesson. I include with this lesson a free copy of my templates and student/teacher agreement, which I use to allow teaching to be outstanding on every level, including many of my own ideas not sold in any other toolkits or publications. I have taken feedback on my outstanding lessons to incorporporate the outstanding features into every lesson, that actually extend beyond the classroom.
Any questions or queries please contact me via email.
