This is a sheet i used with year 10 Edexcel GCSE class but now I am doing AQA i think it should work for that to. It is based on episode one of ‘‘Pilgrimage with Simon Reeves’’. The questions are answered mostly in the order i have put them and there is my top set and bottom set sheet available here. Last i checked the episode was not on Youtube but the DVD of the series is on amazon and is worth a watch.

Introduction to the early Christian Church: You will learn about what was expected from Jesus as the Messiah, the birth of the Church at Pentecost and the spread of the early Christians and the problems they met. This will include the death of St. Stephen and the conversion of St, Paul. This took me 2 one hour lessons so will be best edited or used as part of a unit. Christian Denominations and the Reformation: You will identify different groups within Christianity and reasons for their existence. You will do this by examining Martin Luther and the Reformation. Within this we will examine reasons for these groups and their similarities and differences in belief and practices. I do not own the starter resource this is from another TES authory- A to B question matrix and so has been deleted from the lesson but description added at the start Plenary is also based on a template provided by @MrFitzhistory and he provides his templates for free on Twitter- I will put this on for free on a separate post

Structured revision sheet used for homework and as part of revision classes

A focused and structured worksheet on episode one of the Morgan Freeman series. Focus is on miracles and there is a chance for reflection. I have used this in GCSE classes and higher ability in lower school.

Used to revise the topic in AQA

Year 9 Unit on Where was God in the Holocaust- an introducgtion to give some background to the history of persecution of the Jews

I used this sheet with set 6 of 6. It uses an ATS style video sheet that asks focused questions to answer from the video. We watched the video twice and then had coloured pen time to add ideas from the answer sheet. I have also included exam questions from past papers with the mark scheme.

Revision Resource- I used it as a starter to allow students to learn quotes. A slide with the start of a quote is displayed with an image clue. The answer is on the following slide

The Christian Church today: You will begin exploring sources of authority in Christianity, with a focus on the Pope (Roman Catholics), the Queen (Church of England) and the Archbishop of Canterbury (Church of England). We will explore their authority by reflecting on modern ethical issues and then explore the role of Christianity in the UK today. You will also explore the role and importance of religion in the UK today.
