A lesson I have heard about on several training courses and speaking to teacher friends. Made from scratch with the exception of the infographics which are just from the internet. Made for AQA style exam questions. You will need to buy the biscuits and might want to adapt the lesson for what you buy.

This is a sheet i used with year 10 Edexcel GCSE class but now I am doing AQA i think it should work for that to. It is based on episode one of ‘‘Pilgrimage with Simon Reeves’’. The questions are answered mostly in the order i have put them and there is my top set and bottom set sheet available here. Last i checked the episode was not on Youtube but the DVD of the series is on amazon and is worth a watch.

I have used this as part of a lesson on contraception. I place the completed posters either at the front of the room our outside the classroom and students work as part of a team to complete.

A structured sheet used during sexism and the role of women units. It asks specific questions about the plot of the film but focuses on the presentation of female characters and their role. You will need the DVD or to stream the film.

I have used this as part of the Human Rights and Social Justice Unit (AQA) and it can cover how those living in poverty should be helping themselves in conjunction with what others can do. Video is available on YouTube.
