Hello All, Within this resource you will be able to access a practical Dramatic Elements SoL with: 1 x SoL 9 x Fully prepared PowerPoint lessons 2 x Assessment tasks and feedback sheet 1 x Display Poster 1 x Extended learning booklet All handouts that go with the lessons. Within this unit of work, students will learn about the fundamental dramatic elements needed for any performance. They will focus on building their use of the elements and working independently and in groups to create performances. Moreover, it introduces students to writing about the use of key physical and vocal skills. This unit of work furthermore builds each student’s confidence and enjoyment in performing and shows them how to use their performance space effectively to get the most out of each rehearsal and session. Hello All, Within this resource you will be able to access a practical rehearsal skills SoL with: 1 x SoL 7 x Fully prepared PowerPoint lessons 1 x Assessment task and feedback sheet All handouts that go with the lessons. Within this scheme of learning, students will learn about the fundamental rehearsal techniques that they can use when creating a performance. They will focus on skills such as tableau, soundscape, flashbacks, narration etc. Students in particular will learn how to use these to build a performance and how to evaluate their use of rehearsal skills within devising. This unit will continue to develop student’s confidence in performing and understanding how to work effectively within a group. The Stimuli for this unit of work will be taken from a range of world religions and ask students to show how they are seen in the world today. In particular, this unit links to the GCSE written devising log out of the devising component but also practically aides studies in all areas of their GCSE preparation. Hello All, Within this resource you will be able to access a practical practitioners SoL with: 1 x SoL 8 x Fully prepared PowerPoint lessons 1 x Assessment task and feedback sheet All handouts that go with the lessons. Within this SoL, students will develop skills for the devising and written component units of the GCSE Drama course. They will learn about three specific practitioner groups (Kneehigh, Frantic Assembly and Punchdrunk) and the techniques attached to each style. Furthermore, they will learn how to use the style to create a small performance piece using it and they will develop their use of physical and vocal skills to create the dramatic elements. Throughout the SoL, they will focus on using exam terminology to develop their understanding of how to write about their intended audience intent and the skills they used to present it. They will also develop their own ideas about what they think drama should be like, how it can be used to benefit the wider community and how the historical decisions of practitioners has shaped the drama we see today. Hello All, Within this resource you will be able to access a practical physical theatre SoL with: 1 x SoL 7 x Fully prepared PowerPoint lessons 1 x Assessment task and feedback sheet All handouts that go with the lessons. Within this SoL, students will develop skills for the live theatre component of the GCSE Drama course while in KS3. Students will be required to learn about the style of physical theatre using an LGBTQIA+ activism stimuli and will learn how to evaluate these using the GCSE guidelines. Along with this, they will learn about appropriate physical contact, a range of various devising techniques and how to use semiotics to communicate with an audience. Within this SoL students will also be given the opportunity to learn how to describe, explain, analyse and evaluate live theatre using the GCSE Drama – Live Theatre Analysis exam structure. They will be shown how to respond to a top band answer and using a scaffold to write their own live theatre analyses on a group of their peers. This will be the assessed component of this SoL.
