AQA Step-Up to English- Lessons 1-4 (Fashion Topic)

This is a lower ability course for those students who are unlikely to achieve an equivalent to a ‘C’ grade at GCSE. It gives them the opportunity to access learning at a more appropriate level for them, although still working towards the same skills needed for AQA GCSE English Language. The course is certified at two different levels, Silver and Gold, with assessments based on speaking and listing, reading and writing. AQA advise several choices of topic, fashion being one of them.

Students build on their understanding of the poems from the Power & Conflict section of the AQA Anthology. It offers key tips for students to follow in each question and encourages them to meet the assessment criteria. My students found this extremely useful.
