A lesson that investigates the reasons for rural settlements developing into urban settlements looking in particular at Bangkok however, this could be adapted to whatever settlement you are teaching in.

Using Myanmar as an example case study and evaluating whether it should become a tourism hot spot based on different stake holders, students work in groups to evaluate whether their given stakeholder is in favour or against tourism and reasons why, they then share this with the class to add to a sheet that covers all stakeholders opinions. Finally, students make their own mind up and answer the enquiry question.
