AQA GCSE Chemistry (9-1) Learning Grids Collection

12 Resources
Every single learning grid to cover all topics for the new AQA GCSE Chemistry (9-1) specification - that’s 11 topic areas and over 30 different grid types. The learning grids are ideal for end of topic revision and exam preparation. Students work in small groups and roll 2 dice to determine a square on the grid. They then have to explain to the rest of the group what is contained in the square. An alternative to make this more challenging is to roll both dice 2 times and determine 2 squares. The student then has to make a link between the contents of both squares. Each grid has a second grid containing 6 ? If students land on one of these squares they must answer an exam-style question on the topic. Each learning grid is differentiated for H and F where appropriate and come with a revision checklist also.

AQA A-Level Chemistry DNA & Anticancer Drugs

3 Resources
I have found this part of the new specification to be lacking good resources, so I am slowly building mine up for this area of the course. So far this bundle comprises a PowerPoint on the structure of DNA and the action of the anticancer drug cisplatin; a set of 15 MCQs with answers; and a learning grid which makes a great revision resource on the topic. Check back soon for additions to this bundle
AQA A-Level Chemistry: Atomic Structure Learning Grid
prhiltonprhilton

AQA A-Level Chemistry: Atomic Structure Learning Grid

(0)
Designed as an AS/Year 1 A-Level Chemistry revision task for the topic 3.1.1 Atomic Structure (AQA AS 7404, A-Level 7405). The learning grid allows groups of 2 or 3 students to work together to review the topic. Each student rolls 2 dice to get a ‘grid reference’ and they then have to explain what is contained in that square. This can be made more challenging by rolling the dice twice and making links between the 2 squares identified. There is also a second version, where students must answer an exam-style question if they land on the ? square. Learning checklist included to monitor progress. Now also includes suggested answers.
