Introducing alphabet to Foundation stage students can be at times mundane and any activity to introduce them may even be lackluster. The activity in the plan was an activity that i practiced with my three year old daughter who is quite demanding in terms of any thing being done to be really engaging and fun. If it ends up being even slightly tedious, she will lose her attention and move over to something else. To hold her in place in order to do some teaching is a challenge in itself.
I found the activity very successful in helping her learn the shapes, sequence and both grapheme and phonemes of each of the letter in the alphabet.
The activity in the lesson plan is something that would require a constant verbal interaction and movement with the children in order to add to the fun it provides.
