There have recently been a number of controversial cases in the news over the issue of Euthanasia. Can the taking of another human life to stop suffering ever be justified? This outstanding resources has been tried and tested in the classroom over many years and aims to help students understand some of the arguments for and against voluntary Euthanasia. It can be used as a starter, plenary or main activity to accompany any main stream text book or resource on this topic. The nature of the task means that it appeals to the full range of ability. The main activity involves getting students to cut out the cards in lesson, organize them into their most persuasive order and then sick into their books before they have a go at the extended writing activity / discussion. Alternatively, they can create a key and then sort through the cards and then stick the sheet into their book or you could cut out the cards and place them into an envelope for them to sort prior to a discussion on the topic. This is a great resource that can be easily adapted to suit your classroom and expectations. A Brag Tag book is a great alternative to Brag Tag necklaces.  I find using a Brag Tag book much more manageable for my little students, and it’s a great space saver.  When they receive a new Brag Tag I allow them to glue it into their book.   This purchase includes: Over one hundred different color combination and options       to choose from.  You are sure to find one that fits       your classroom. Fifteen black and white options Each book is editable to type the student’s name,   ��   or you can choose to leave it blank and let them        write their name. There are also 2 different recording pages.  On         one page they simply glue their brag tag.  On         the other page they have room to write what their        brag tag means or why they received it. To make the books you can print the front cover on card stock and use a plain piece of card stock for the back.  Then cut all the pages in half and bind the books together using a binding machine.  The books can also be printed double sided and stapled together. If you only have a black and white printer you can use colored paper to give those black and white designs a pop of color! The Help study guide (Pre-viewing/reading activities)

This engaging resource can be used either with the film or the novel by Kathryn Stockett. The questions are focused on helping illicit ideas and prepare students for the actual watching/reading portion of their study. Like most of my other resources there is material for discussion and debate or even just individual critical thinking. The resource addresses: slavery,Jim Crow,segregation,civil rights, women’s rights and the wealth gap. There are also some key dates that teachers can build knowledge on as background information and context. Students can explore the time period of the 60s and the pros and cons of living in that time period. Teachers can also use the tasks to discuss Jim Crow and the impact the laws had on community as a whole.
